The Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC) is the largest Association of Reflexology in Canada.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), reflexology is one of the fastest growing therapies in North America today. RAC is at the forefront of this movement and plays an active role in creating a professional environment for all practicing Reflexologists.
RAC is a federally chartered non-profit association formed in 1976 with a strong membership from coast to coast. It is internationally affiliated with other non-profit based reflexology associations worldwide and is a member of the International Council of Reflexologists (ICR).
The prime purpose as laid out by our by-laws is to:
Educate and develop highly skilled, qualified and committed Reflexologists, through:
Setting and maintaining high standards of training
Continuing professional development through innovative specialized training
Providing examination, registration and certification to all Reflexologists
Developing an effective referral system and unifying network increasing credibility
Educating and informing the Canadian public about the benefits of reflexology to enhance the health of Canadians from coast to coast including lobbing government
Ongoing research & providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information.
RAC actively makes a commitment to provide the best available training with appropriate examinations leading to certification and national registration. RAC regularly revises all training manuals, exams and curricula to meet the increasing demand for quality instruction and up-to-date information. RAC also makes available a Professional Development series to further increase the professionalism and expertise of its members.
Teachers are professionally trained and have completed the RAC Teachers Certification Program. This allows members and clients the certainty that every RAC graduate has undergone a quality training allowing for a high standard of practice in the profession. In addition to this, members have access to all of RAC resources including a worldwide referral and networking system, recent clinical research and the knowledge that the Association is committed to upholding their professional interests.
Licensed Teachers in many diverse settings teach RAC programs across Canada including colleges, trade schools and community education programs as electives or separate programming.
All our programs are recognized both at a national and international level providing a guarantee for a standard of training which is acceptable for practicing professionally.
