R.A.C. Hand Reflexology course

 

To become a certified Hand Reflexologist with RAC, the student must take the Core module as well as the Hand Reflexolgy course.   

The Hand Reflexology course also stands alone and if a student does not wish to be a RAC member, the Hand course still certifies one to practice the modality. 

 

The Core module, if taken, consists of 18 hours of class time, 15 hours of home study and an exam. 

 

The Hand course is a total of 150 hours and includes 15 hours of home study, both a written exam and a  practical exam and 50 case studies.

 

The course outline for the Hand Reflexology certification includes:

  • an outline of the history of Hand Reflexology;

  • theory of Hand Reflexology;

  • the structure and function of the hand (anatomy and physiology);

  • anatomy and physiology review;

  • the reflexes of the hand, their location and what they correspond to;

  • key areas of emphasis for specific conditions;

  • practice involving hands-on participation;

  • hand assessments/evaluations;

  • charting skills to include health record and observation form documentation;

  • session protocol & hand palpation;

  • hand reflexology relaxation and treatment techniques;

  • practice sessions, as required.
